All,
Looks like a Healthcare KM Workgroup is gaining some interest!
At this point we currently have 6 people jumping into the sandbox. We seem to have already brought together an interesting crew of participants? a few IT consultants, some federal agencies, a non-profit Healthcare system? now what?
I threw out some initial topics of concentration?
> 1. Physician to Physician collaboration
> 2. Patient Portals
> 3. Integrated Delivery Network (clinics, hospital, payor) Intranet
> 4. Mobile KM
> 5. Healthcare Web 2.0
The list was created somewhat ad-hoc, but it does give a good snapshot of the main areas of focus? and in particular? in the greatest need of Knowledge Management (KM).
??????..
Short-term tactics:
- Start using KM.gov as a collaboration nexus for the Healthcare KM Workgroup
- (serendipitously, KM.gov uses a platform that we in Healthcare have not fully embraced)
- Use the workgroup to discuss Healthcare KM strategies and best practices
- Collaboration, Document Management, Content Management, BI and Workflow.
Mid-term strategy:
- Workgroup participants formulate KM beta project between Gov, Non-Prof and Private Sector
Long-term vision? not there yet.
Below is the link to the Healthcare KM project site on km.gov?
Questions, comments, suggestions are expected!
