Even though preparing final IceBridge data for posting by the NSIDC takes months of work, IceBridge researchers are still able to produce rough, graphical snapshots of interesting features seen during a survey even before the plane lands.

On Nov. 1, guests from the U.S. Embassy in Santiago, local Chilean schools and media and the U.S. Antarctic Program icebreaker Nathaniel B. Palmer participated in an IceBridge flight, seeing how scientists gather ice data from the air.
