NEEMO 14 Mission Days 6 and 7
May 18, 2010 10:36:37 AM | NASA Testing for Human Space Exploration
-
- Mission day 6 brings more rough seas and reduced visibility for the NEEMO aquanauts, making underwater tasks more difficult. They set out on a night dive at the end of day 6 - producing some amazing photos - and take a much-needed rest on day 7.

-
NEEMO 14 Mission Day 5
May 18, 2010 10:32:13 AM | NASA Testing for Human Space Exploration
-
- Severe winds and harsh sea conditions affect the operations of the crew on NEEMO Day 5 as they perform extravehicular activities (EVAs). Preparing for the second EVA of the day, the crew is able to watch the launch of the shuttle Atlantis.
-
-
NEEMO 14 Mission Day 4
May 17, 2010 09:57:30 AM | NASA Testing for Human Space Exploration
-
- Extravehicular activities (EVAs) on day 4 focused on simulating operations within mockups of an exploration vehicle, lander, and ascent module. Aquanauts tested the size of the mockups to see if there would be enough room for astronauts to move around and perform tasks.
